Virginia Housing today announced that Tammy Neale has been named Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2024. Neale is a longtime executive at Virginia Housing with 39 years of service. For the past three years, she has served as Chief of Programs.
A Virginia Housing Grant Helps Clear the Way for Senior Housing in Richmond
Virginia Housing provided a $150,000 Community Impact Grant to demolish an existing structure at 2100 Bainbridge St. in Richmond’s south side. A multifamily dwelling for seniors will go up on the property, which sits between Semmes Avenue and Hull Street.
Virginia Housing Grants Fund Habitat for Humanity Home in Roanoke for Family of Six
On Saturday, August 26, the Steelman family were handed the keys to their first home during the Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley dedication ceremony. Whitney Steelman, homeowner and mother of five, had waited for this day for almost two years. The beautiful blue two-story, five-bedroom home in the Belmont-Fallon community located in Southeast Roanoke was funded by “The Virginia House” grant and brought to life by Habitat for Humanity of the Roanoke Valley and the many volunteers who helped construct the home.
Virginia Housing Receives 2023 Top Virginia Employers for Interns Award
In commemoration of Virginia Intern Day, The Virginia Talent + Opportunity Partnership (VTOP) has recognized Virginia Housing as a recipient of the 2023 Top Virginia Employers for Interns Award. This annual award recognizes 100 employers throughout the Commonwealth who provide high-quality internships to students.
