Virginia Housing CEO Search

Virginia Housing’s Board of Commissioners is pleased to provide an update on the search for the housing finance agency’s next Chief Executive Officer. Executive search and advisory firm Heidrick & Struggles has been retained to conduct a nationwide search in partnership with the Board of Commissioners. Candidates for this important role will bring extensive relevant experience and a commitment to continue Virginia Housing’s mission to help Virginians attain quality, affordable housing.

Previously, Virginia Housing had announced the upcoming retirement of Susan Dewey, who has served as the CEO of Virginia Housing since 1999, as well as the appointment of Janet Wiglesworth as Interim CEO effective upon Dewey’s retirement on December 31, 2023.
