Virginia Housing Homeowners
Are you a Virginia Housing homeownership loan customer who has been financially impacted by COVID-19?
We strongly encourage you to use our resources for self-servicing and 24/7 account access. You can access your account at your convenience. Itβs easier and faster to manage your account digitally, as call wait times will be longer than usual.
- If you have been financially impacted by COVID-19, what type of assistance can you receive?
If you have experienced a financial hardship due to COVID-19, please send an email to Care@VirginiaHousing.com that includes your contact information. Your account will be placed on a forbearance plan until there is a change in your financial status. Virginia Housing will send you a letter of confirmation once we have processed your request. - Log in to manage your mortgage at: VirginiaHousing.com/ManageYourMortgage.
From here you can make payments, make account updates and send us secure messages.

Q: Does Virginia Housing have staff available to assist customers?
A: We have limited staff available to receive customer phone calls. We are following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines to keep our employees healthy and provide enhanced cleaning procedures in our office. This includes social distancing. You will experience a longer than usual wait time, due to the decreased number of call center staff. Q: Can I make my payments electronically?
A: Yes, we encourage you to make your payments electronically to avoid any delays with mail. The easiest way to pay electronically is online: VirginiaHousing.com/ManageYourMortgage.

Q: If I am unable to pay my mortgage loan during the COVID-19 crisis, will Virginia Housing report negatively to the credit bureaus?

The Virginia Mortgage Relief Program provides assistance to homeowners experiencing financial hardship due to COVID-19, to help prevent and/or ease mortgage delinquencies, defaults, foreclosures and displacement.
